As the bride and bridesmaids put the finishing touches to their outfits, guests arrived at the lakeside setting for the civil ceremony. The intimate, moving ceremony took place under a stunning Pavilion to the sight of gliding ducks, swishing willow trees and the smell of beautiful scented garlands of flowers.
Guests were treated to refreshing, (with a kick!), Mojitos, which signaled the start of a day with a difference.
A Cuban band set the laid back atmosphere throughout the drinks reception, and the wedding breakfast then offered a feast for the culinary senses - Cuban style complete with tapas selection, and casseroled curried kid.
The colour scheme was equally dramatic, unconventional but stunning; hot pink and lime green carried through from prom-style bridesmaids dresses to the vibrant flower palette, bridal favours and hand-made stunning table stationery.
The wedding cake took the shape of the pomegranate - a powerful symbol of meaning to the couple - and guests were invited to display their hand-written wish for the bride and groom on paper pomegranates tied to a tree. Personal, beautiful and unusual to the last.
